RESUMO

Objective To evaluate the current situation of radioactive contamination in the soil around a decommissioned uranium mine by combined determination of 210Pb and 210Po activity concentrations. Methods Soil samples were collected around a decommissioned uranium mine. 210Po and the 210Pb decay product 210Bi were plated on a copper sheet by self-deposition at a constant temperature. Gross α and gross β counts were measured using a low-background α/β counter. The activity concentrations of 210Pb and 210Po in soil were calculated. The radioactive contamination was evaluated using geological accumulation index. Results The activity concentrations of 210Pb and 210Po in the soil around the decommissioned uranium mine were 873.7-2315.5 and 956.0-2315 Bq·kg−1, respectively. The activity concentrations of 210Pb and 210Po in nearby farmland soil were 54.2-257.8 and 59.1-234.5 Bq·kg−1, respectively. Evaluation with the geological accumulation index showed that the level of nearby farmland contamination was 0-2, indicating zero to moderate radioactive contamination of the farmland. Conclusion The relatively high radioactivity around the decommissioned uranium mine requires attention to the transfer, diffusion, and ingestion of the uranium decay products 210Pb and 210Po in the surrounding soil to avoid radioactive contamination of the environment.

RESUMO

Vascular dementia (VaD) is the second commonest type of dementia which lacks of efficient treatments currently. Neuroinflammation as a prominent pathological feature of VaD, is highly involved in the development of VaD. In order to verify the therapeutic potential of PDE1 inhibitors against VaD, the anti-neuroinflammation, memory and cognitive improvement were evaluated in vitro and in vivo by a potent and selective PDE1 inhibitor 4a. Also, the mechanism of 4a in ameliorating neuroinflammation and VaD was systematically explored. Furthermore, to optimize the drug-like properties of 4a, especially for metabolic stability, 15 derivatives were designed and synthesized. As a result, candidate 5f, with a potent IC50 value of 4.5 nmol/L against PDE1C, high selectivity over PDEs, and remarkable metabolic stability, efficiently ameliorated neuron degeneration, cognition and memory impairment in VaD mice model by suppressing NF-κB transcription regulation and activating cAMP/CREB axis. These results further identified PDE1 inhibition could serve as a new therapeutic strategy for treatment of VaD.

RESUMO

302 teeth with wedge-shaped defect in 168 patients were restored by SDR(smart dentin replacement,n =112),glass ionomer (n =98) and light-cured composite resin(n =92) respectively.12 to 15 month follow-up showed the success rate was 96.2%,84.8% and 86.2% respectively(P < 0.01).SDR is an ideal material in restoring wedge-shaped defect.

RESUMO

The experimental teaching of Pharmaceutical Technology plays a critical role in improving the students' knowledge conversion, application, and innovation abilities in pharmaceutical engineering specialty.According to the problems existing in experimental teaching process, exploration and practice on the case teaching method and the student-centered teaching mode are introduced in this paper. The implementation of the teaching reform can effectively combine pharmaceutical technology theory with practice, and is conducive to the professional development of pharmaceutical engineering in our university.

RESUMO

AIM:To study the relationship between expression of p53 protein and AgNORs count and histological grade in pancreatic adenocarcinoma.METHODS:Fifty-six patients with pancreatic adenocarcinoma and 25 normal pancreatic tissue were examined for mutant P53 protein by immunohistochemistry, silver binding nucleolar organizer regions(AgNORs)were counted in cancer cells, and histological grade was observed in pancreatic adenocarcinoma.RESULTS:P53 protein positive expression was 50% in pancreatic adenocarcinoma,P53 protein expression was negative in all normal pancreatic tissue. There is a significant difference in P53 expression between normal pancreatic tissue and pancreatic adenocarcinoma tissue. The mean AgNORs count was 9.14?2.08 in group with P53 protein positive expression, and 5.99?1.84 in group with P53 protein negative expression group. The P53 expression was associated with AgNORs significantly. The P53 expression was significantly related with histological grade, and AgNORs count was also significantly related with histological grade.CONCLUSION:P53 may be closely related to carcinogenesis and development of pancreatic adenocarcinoma.P53 protein expression and AgNORs count might be a useful prognostic factor in pancreatic adenocarcinoma.
